Hollywood cinema and home video contrast the industrialised and 'third' worlds.

Marcel Odenbach is considered one of Germany's most important video artists for his pioneering contribution to the development of video installation in the 1970s. Since then Odenbach has also employed performance and drawings in his practice that questions the construction of identity in relation to historical and cultural representation.

In Vorurteile (Prejudice), Odenbach presents appropriated excerpts of films and archival images to create a relational dialogue between the metaphorical and literal icons of western and non-western cultures.
