Popcorn Taxi is a regular, independent film and video screenings event which showcases the work of emerging filmmakers and plays host to established film industry identities from around the world.
Popcorn Taxi screens independent feature films, animation, documentaries, music clips, television commercials and short films, on formats from VHS to 35mm film. It's a non-competitive event where all are welcome.
Popcorn Taxi plays host to high-profile guest speakers including (to date): Ewan McGregor, Susie Porter, Bryan Brown, Claudia Karvan, Geoffrey Rush, Bruce Beresford, Richard Franklin, Anthony Minghella, Kimble Rendall, Wim Wenders, Mike Figgis and many more.
