Like many of Clarke's works, such as his acclaimed Scum, this film does not moralise but merely allows viewers to draw their own conclusions.
Kicked along by a searing soundtrack by The Exploited, the influence of Made in Britain is evident in subsequent movies such as Romper Stomper and American History X.
