Federation Square is being taken over by puppets for this annual event, and ACMI is no exception!

Melbourne is set to ride the huge international wave of popularity currently being enjoyed by one of the most ancient, and creative of arts... puppetry! With the inaugural International Puppet Carnival at Federation Square from 26 June to 2 July (week two of the Victorian School Holidays) there is a host of fun and exciting puppetry shows and activities the whole family can enjoy.

This brand new week-long festival will see the most talented puppet masters from around Australia and New Zealand in an action packed program of contemporary, traditional and cutting edge performances, events and workshops. ACMI's Screenpit will play host to some of these events.
