The Yamakasi are a real-life group of daredevils who scramble up tall buildings and other structures as easily as most people climb stairs.
When filmmaker Luc Besson saw a television report on the Yamakasi, he was so impressed that he produced this project as a vehicle for putting their talents onscreen.
The result is one of the few films that capture the skills of
parkour so magnificently.
