June 20 of every year is World Refugee Day. It is a day that honours the courage, strength and determination of those who are forced to flee their homeland under threat of persecution, conflict and violence.
Exploring storytelling, documentary and what it is like being a new arrival growing up in Melbourne, join the creators, researchers and participants for a special documentary screening and Digital Storytelling showcase followed by a panel discussion.
Produced by Melbourne filmmakers, the Australian Centre for the Moving Image and young people of refugee backgrounds.
