ACMI's student screenings and lectures introduce students to some of the codes and conventions used by screen texts.
Screenings can be accompanied by a lecture for upper primary and secondary students. The length of the lecture will vary depending on the age of the students.
Teachers can negotiate a school day and time that is mutually convenient.
The student lecture program encourages all teachers of all subjects to bring students to ACMI's cinemas.
ACMI offers screenings on request of many films from our own extensive film and video collection. Most recent releases can be screened as well.
If you have a group of 30 or more students, contact us to arrange a time in one of ACMI's comfortable and accessible cinemas. Program fees are based on a minimum of 30 students (venue capacity will determine maximum numbers).
Year 12 English Teachers can organise a screening and a lecture in ACMI's cinemas for large groups or the theatrette for single classes. Sessions will cost $12 per student. Teachers can request a date and time of their choice depending upon the availability of screening spaces.
