Danny Boon (Welcome to the Sticks) joins an endearingly oddball cast in a slapstick comedy from Jean-Pierre Jeunet, the acclaimed director of French arthouse hits Amelie and A Very Long Engagement.
The wonderful Yolande Moreau (Louise Michel, Seraphine) plays hilarious den mother to a rag-tag group of co-conspirators led by accidental hero and video store attendant, Bazil (Boon), bent on exacting revenge on a ruthless weapons manufacturer responsible for his father's death.
Jeunet employs a breathtaking arsenal of visual humour and inventively staged set pieces in a film that is part comic fable, part caper and ultimately a touching ode to romance and fellowship.
