The Adventures of Robin Hood
The Adventures of Robin Hood
Tasmanian gadabout and movie icon Errol Flynn was cast as the swashbuckling hero of legend in one of Hollywood's earliest action-adventure films.

Olivia de Havilland (as the winsome Maid Marian), Claude Rains and Basil Rathbone co-starred in the lavish Warner Bros. production and the film distinguished itself with three Academy Awards for Best Original Score, Art Direction and Editing.

Flynn and his Captain Blood co-star Basil Rathbone - an earlier film the two stars appeared in alongside De Havilland also directed by Curtiz - share a thrilling duel scene, quoted and imitated in adventure epics for decades to follow.

Director Michael Curtiz would seal his reputation as one of Hollywood's most celebrated filmmakers of the studio era with films like Casablanca (1942) and Mildred Pierce (1945).

Screens in a glorious Technicolor print.
