Looking back/Looking forward
Join Neal Benezra, the Director of San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) as he talks about the history of the SFMOMA, its collections, exhibitions and architecture, and the museum's future directions and expansion.
Focusing on SFMOMA's programs and collections, Neal will identify the transformation of the museum that is taking place and introduce the architectural design being prepared by Norwegian/American firm Snohetta. He will discuss the expansion, enhancing the visitor experience and more deeply weaving the museum into the fabric of the city.
Neal will also introduce the landmark agreement between SFMOMA and the Fisher Family which will bring one of the world's great collections of contemporary art to the museum.
