Matt Millikan

Matt Millikan is the Head of Interpretation and Publishing at ACMI. He’s responsible for writing, editing and curating the content that appears on the ACMI Lens and throughout the exhibition spaces. He is the editor of the ACMI Guide series of videogame books, which include Untitled Goose Game, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Zork and The Sims. He is also the editor of The Story of the Moving Image and co-editor of Goddess: Fierce Women on Film and Outside the Frame: Art and the Moving Image.

Prior to leading interpretation and publishing, he was the Digital and Social Media Manager for half a decade, where he worked on major exhibition campaigns and digital strategies, including content development and commissioning. Before joining ACMI, he was a journalist and editor at ArtsHub. He’s written for numerous publications and was shortlisted for the Kill Your Darlings Unpublished Manuscript award and a recipient of the inaugural KYD/Varuna Copyright Agency Fellowship.
