Inspired by Setting the Scene, ACMI will host an industry-focussed symposium featuring discussion and ideas from eminent film designers and experts.
Guests include Jon Rohde (Production Designer, film and television,
Joanne Lees: Murder in the Outback, RAN: Remote Area Nurse), Roger Ford (Production Designer,
The Chronicles of Narnia), Damien Drew (Art Director,
Justice League: Mortal), Karen Murphy (Art Director,
Australia), Sue Brooks (Director,
Japanese Story) and Paul Harris (Director, St Kilda Film Festival).
In exploring the subject of design for film, the symposium will provide an opportunity to map the territory of this integral profession, introducing key practitioners and commentators who will delve into the profound impact of new technologies and the creative challenges posed for those who employ them.
