Student Programs
ACMI encourages students at all levels to develop an appreciation for the art and craft of the moving image. Students are introduced to the many stages of production through screenings and seminars, and a variety of hands-on workshops with emphasis upon the creative process.
Programs for Early Years and Middle Years students are VELS-focussed and choices include green-screen production activities, digital production experiences, screenings and discussions. Participants can develop and shoot their live action scripts, create animations, engage with interactive media and view and reflect on the content they have created.
Programs for Secondary students include hands-on workshops that engage students in the making of screen-based art and the analysis of the screen, and opportunities to work with filmmakers.
