Volunteer for a few hours

Interested in occasional volunteering at ACMI?

Information sessions take place online on the first Monday of every second month from March to November at 5.30pm – 6.30pm. Registrations are required:

Who can volunteer?

Our incredible volunteers have all kinds of experience and expertise. Our diverse team is made up of students, teachers, retirees, parents, artists and people looking to re-enter the workforce. Volunteers are involved throughout ACMI from visitor engagement to event support, administration and creative projects.

To become a Volunteer you must:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check
  • Sign a Volunteer Agreement to commit to the values and policies of ACMI.

The Vinyl Factory: Reverb

Join our Visitor Experience volunteer team and participate over The Vinyl Factory: Reverb, our major exhibition running Fri 22 May – Mon 31 Aug 2026.

Reverb celebrates two decades of The Vinyl Factory’s radical creative collaborations with leading artists and musicians across art, music and performance. Originally presented at 180 Studios London and reimagined for ACMI in partnership with RISING Festival, Reverb features interactive installations, rare vinyl releases, and large-scale video artworks.

We're seeking enthusiastic and people-focused volunteers to participate with us and provide assistance to our visitors across all our spaces and programming.
