Fairy Tales Re-imagined Teacher Program
As part of this full day program for secondary teachers, the ACMI Screen Education team, including Susan Bye and Christine Evely, will offer an afternoon Teacher PD session on fairy tale narratives and screen culture. This session will support teachers of English, Literature and The Arts with a focus on Years 9-11. The PD session will include a preview to the ACMI exhibition, Dreams Come True - The Art of Disney's Classic Fairy Tales.
The program includes the following:
9am > Registration
9.30-10.45am > Old Tales New Platforms: The Creation of Re-enchantment
11am-1pm > Working Creatively with Fairy Tales
1-2pm > Lunch
2-3.30pm > Workshop with Susan Bye and Christine Evely, introduction and entry to the exhibition
The program will be accompanying the Fairy Tales Re-imagined two day symposium exploring how traditional fairy tales are being reworked by visual artists, filmmakers and popular culture. Find out more information about the Fairy Tales Re-imagined two-day symposium.
