Visiting UK curator Rose Issa will present a lecture on contemporary art and film from Iran and the Arab World. Join Rose as she presents a rare insight into the rich visual representations of the Middle East.
Rose Issa is a London based, independent curator, producer and writer who specialises in contemporary art and film of the Middle East and North Africa. Currently curator-in-residence at Australian Centre for Pacific Art (ACAPA) in Brisbane, Issa will speak about critical engagement in the contemporary art and film of West Asia in the lead up to the inclusion of work from this region in the sixth
Asia Pacific Triennial of Art.
Rose Issa's visit to Australia has been supported by the Queensland Art Gallery's Australian Centre of Asia Pacific Art and Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body, with the assistance of Dr Caroline Turner AM.
