As part of the VCAA's Season of Excellence, Top Screen showcases Victoria's best moving image works created by VCE students in 2005. Presented by ACMI and the Victorian Curriculum Assessment Authority (VCAA) with support from ATOM.
Top Screen profiles the state's best screen based art and moving image works created by year 12 VCE students from around Victoria. The screenings and exhibition of interactive works allow students, their families, schools and the general community to celebrate the talents and stunning achievements of these young artists, designers and filmmakers.
The Media work is afforded the opportunity to be screened on the 'big' screen in state of the art cinemas in the same way that professional works are screened. Alongside these screenings are the opportunities to meet the student film makers who discuss their own work in order to inspire and encourage younger year levels, to both learn from, and about the moving-image. There will also be industry sessions with a spotlight on scriptwriting and the realities of making a short film.
