Best known for her appointment as Australia's first female Premier in Victoria in 1990, Joan Kirner has a long history of working towards gender equality and social justice spanning five decades. In this intimate bio-doc, Kirner shares stories of the challenges and motivators of leadership in community and political spheres. Kirner has been has been pivotal in the areas of education reform, the formation of the first Landcare groups, affirmative action for women in government and was co-founder of EMILY's List.
