Then continue the adventure in Game Worlds, where even more fantastical experiences and imaginative worlds await (ticket required).

The Australian Esports League (AEL) is a premier provider of organised gaming and educational esports across Australia. Established in 2016, the AEL is dedicated to building inclusive pathways for players of all levels from grassroots school competitions to professional national leagues.

By transforming a passion for gaming into a structured, positive activity, the AEL fosters essential "future-ready" skills such as strategic communication, leadership, and digital literacy. As part of ACMI’s Family Weekend: Minecraft, the AEL is hosting a Minecraft Education build challenge, inviting participants to use the iconic sandbox platform to solve complex design problems and showcase their creativity. Through these immersive programs, the AEL continues to lead the growth of a safe and healthy competitive gaming culture for the digital generation.
