When

Fri 8 May 2026

Kick off IFF 2026 with Rangga & Cinta, a fresh retelling of an iconic Indonesian love story, bringing new life to a beloved classic at ACMI.

An adaptation of Indonesia’s iconic young adult romance ADA APA DENGAN CINTA? (What's With Love?), reimagined with a musical twist.

The film follows 17-year-old Cinta, whose name means "love" in Indonesian. Cinta’s life has always been perfect: a caring family, loyal friends, and admiration from everyone at school. But everything changes when she falls for Rangga, an outsider with a passion for literature. As their relationship grows and they realize the huge differences between their lives, Cinta’s friendships begin to break down, forcing her to choose between following her heart or staying loyal to her friends.
