Universal Everything's Interactive Creative Director talks about transforming prototypes into reality and redrawing the future of design.

For over 20 years, Joel Gethin Lewis has been creating real-time connections between people, places, stories and objects. His vision and research has inspired NGOs, cultural organisations, big brands and musical acts like U2 and Massive Attack to engage their audiences in surprising and innovative ways.

In this enlightening discussion, Joel will give you a behind-the-scenes glimpse into how the wiggly jiggly kaleidoscopic works featured in ACMI's Beings exhibition were made.

Explore Joel’s approach to interactive design, and dive deeper into Universal Everything’s belief that beneficial design can be beautiful, desirable and joyful – an ethos that can be applied to global challenges like clean energy, electric vehicles, digital wellbeing and healthcare.

This event is part of Melbourne Design Week 2024, an initiative of the Victorian Government in collaboration with the NGV.
