Miranda Tapsell and Gwilym Lee reunite for the continuing story of Lauren and Ned, five years after their audience-fave Top End Wedding.

Life in Adelaide is going well. Lauren (Miranda Tapsell) is a high-powered divorce lawyer, and husband Ned (Gwilym Lee) is running a trendy, turmeric latte-making cafe.

When Lauren receives some devastating news, city life is put on hold, and she heads up north to Darwin for some Sorry Business with Ned in tow. Soon, both find themselves unexpected guardians of their eight-year-old niece, Bub.

Leaving the city behind them, the pair – now a trio – start a new life together in the Top End.

In 2019, Top End Wedding won audiences over with its charming and down-to-earth take on the rom-com. Now, five years later, co-writers Joshua Tyler and Miranda Tapsell (also the acting lead) reunite for the next instalment – or eight. Top End Bub, an 8-part sequel series, sees the continuing story of Lauren and Ned as their lives take an unexpected U-turn.

Set in a sun-dappled Darwin, the series is sunny and warm and filled with an enormously likeable cast, including newcomer Gladys-May Kelly whose naturalistic acting brings Bub to life.
