About the exhibition
Celebrating 60 years of songs, stories, and learning, Play School: Come and Play! lets little ones peek behind the scenes of Australia’s most beloved television show. Made by ACMI in collaboration with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, it’s a hands-on, playful experience where children and families can discover how Play School comes to life.
Plan your visit
Tickets are free but essential. Bookings are available up to 14 days in advance. A small number of door tickets may be available on the day, so if you can't find a session, come and speak with our friendly Visitor Experience Guides when you arrive. To ensure the best experience for our visitors, we limit numbers so that little ones (and big ones) get the most out of every session.

Research Sessions
ACMI has partnered with the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child to explore families' experience in the Play School: Come and Play! exhibition.
The research is focused on understanding how children and families play and engage in the exhibition space so that we can see what is working well, and where we can improve for future exhibitions.
Research session will run for an hour from 10–11am on specific dates
