Primary school workshop 2 2160 x 1023

Full-day workshop Years 4-6

Writing for the screen - Primary

Victorian Challenge and Enrichment Series

Calling all student storytellers and film-lovers!

Know any students in Years 4-6 who love storytelling and films?

In Writing for the Screen students will:

  • learn how to find inspiration around them to develop story ideas
  • learn how to structure a film story (beginning, middle, end, and everything in between)
  • find out how film scripts are different from other written stories
  • how to write simple and engaging pitches for their screen stories

This day-long program is part of the Department of Education's Victorian Challenge and Enrichment Series and is open to Government school students with a keen interest and understanding of storytelling, writing, screenwriting or film.

This is an onsite program. If you are in a regional area or can't make it into ACMI, we have an online version of this program. Find out more here.

ACMI acknowledges the support of the Department of Education and Training, Victoria, through the Victorian Challenge and Enrichment series initiative.
