Writing for the Screen Years 7-8

Victorian Challenge and Enrichment Series

Calling all student storytellers and film-lovers!

Know any students in Years 7-8  who love storytelling and films?

In Writing for the screen students will:

  • pick up tips for developing story ideas from scratch
  • learn how to structure a film story (exposition and inciting incident through to different types of endings)
  • develop their screenwriting fundamentals
  • how to pitch their screen stories

This full-day program is part of the Department of Education's Victorian Challenge and Enrichment Series and is open to Government school students with a keen interest and understanding of storytelling, writing, screenwriting or film.

ACMI acknowledges the support of the Department of Education and Training, Victoria, through the Victorian Challenge and Enrichment series initiative.
