“Melding humour, absurdity and political commentary, Arturo Infante’s film poignantly questions how many light years one should traverse to find happiness”
Retired, widowed educator, Celeste (Maria Isabel Diaz), lives with her grown son and relishes her part-time work at the Havana planetarium. To Celeste’s great surprise, the government announces that recent visitors to Cuba – who she and others assumed were Russian – were in fact aliens! Upon leaving, the intergalactic guests extend special invitations to a select few to relocate to their planet for a period of ten years.
Keen to expand her horizons, Celeste decides this might just be the opportunity she’s waited for her whole life.
