Calling all teachers!
Are you keen to bring fresh and engaging, curriculum-focused, real-world learning to your classroom?
ACMI are pleased to offer teachers the chance to be a founding participant in the new videogame-centred Education project called Game Lessons, with two day-long PD days taking place in Melbourne and in Swan Hill, to coincide with the touring Code Breakers exhibition.
Game Lessons is designed to support teachers to create, access and share well-designed lesson plans for impactful and meaningful learning experiences using videogames. Game Lessons provides expert support, resources and professional learning networks. It fosters a cross-disciplinary learning community and will build your capacity to deliver more effective teaching and learning programs.
Join a new Victoria-wide network of teachers and experts who are co-developing resources which activate the untapped potential of videogames in the classroom. Begin by participating in the next Game Lessons Professional Development Day and build on and share your expertise.
Teachers - you don’t need to be ‘a gamer’ to engage with the opportunities videogames offer for learning across the curriculum.
• Curriculum areas: Primary and Secondary teachers, across learning areas
• Bring your own device
• Principals - funding to go towards CRT costs is available for eligible schools.
