In celebration of the upcoming Australian film, Ladies in Black, and Melbourne Fashion Week, we're taking a trip back in time to explore some of the key looks from the glamorous 1950s.
For an evening celebrating the best of vintage style, Margeaux Vallantyne, head stylist at Distinctive Dame, will be our guide for the evening, showing how to wrestle your locks into eye-catching, vintage-inspired looks. Throughout the evening, short films from the ACMI Collection will be screening including the Queen’s visit to Victoria in 1954 in all its post-war pastel glory and Melbourne: Festival City which was commissioned by the Tourist Development Authority of Victoria in 1961 and features some rather fabulous late 50s frocks.
Enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival, some handy tips to take home and get some ideas for your next cocktail party/day at the races or wedding event.
