Inspired by the art and history of shadow puppetry, students will create moving silhouettes that explore the interplay between light and shadow.

Students will:

- explore the history of shadow puppets

- watch contemporary Indigenous Australian shadow-artist works

- understand how light, shadow and shape can be used to create visually stunning artworks through their own creations

Learning areas and capabilities:

Visual Arts, Visual Communication, Design and Technologies, Science, Critical and Creative Thinking

Times: Thursdays during school terms, 10:00 am or 12:45 pm.

This workshop runs for 105 minutes and includes a group visit to the ACMI exhibition at either 11:00 am (afternoon booking) or 12:00 pm (morning booking).
