“An intricate and often brilliant drama, with restrained and intelligent performances”

Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian

Asghar Farhadi follows up the breakout success of the Oscar-winning A Separation (2011) with another powerful drama.

After four years in Tehran, Ahmad (Ali Mosaffa) returns to Paris to settle his divorce with Marie (Bérénice Bejo, in her Cannes 2013 Best Actress Award-winning role). Things have changed since he’s been gone. Marie is now with Samir (Tahar Rahim) and pregnant with his child. Lucie (Pauline Burlet), Marie’s daughter from a previous marriage, doesn’t approve of her mother’s new relationship. When Ahmad attempts to improve the bond between mother and daughter, he unveils a secret from their past.

Screens in French and Farsi with English subtitles.
