“Flawless, elegant, mysterious. A world-class masterpiece”

Joe Morgenstern, The Wall Street Journal

Married couple Nader (Payman Maadi) and Simin (Leila Hatami) are at an impasse. Simin is anxious to leave Iran, hoping to ensure better prospects for the couple’s 12-year-old daughter Termeh (Sarina Farhadi, the director’s daughter) but Nader is reluctant to leave his ailing father behind.

Asghar Farhadi's impressively acted and acutely observed drama won the Golden Bear for Best Film at the 2011 Berlin Film Festival and was the first Iranian film to win an Academy Award® for Best Foreign Language Film.
