About the program

Introduce your students to the imagination and inventiveness of Aardman, the animation studio renowned for creating Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep and Chicken Run.

The exhibition includes over 400 concept drawings, character and background studies, watercolours, storyboards and original sketchbooks from artists Park and Lord. It presents character figurines, original sets and behind-the-scenes footage.

Learners of all ages will enjoy finding out about the creative and collaborative animation process and exploring Aardman’s distinctive storytelling style.

Program schedule

Choose a self-guided visit, or have an educator introduce students to the exhibition’s key themes and ideas. Educator introduction and visit includes a 20 minute presentation, followed by time in the exhibition.

Visits are available weekdays for an entry time between 10am and 3pm and bookings are essential. One supervising teacher per 10 students will be admitted free of charge.
