Youth Misinterpreted (YM) is a youth movement and social enterprise establishing and voicing awareness for social issues and diversity. YM expresses its ideologies through documentary, photo series and collaborations with young creatives with the aim of educating, empowering and uniting young people on a global scale. YM provide a platform where young people can explore their individual identities, while also engaging in relevant societal themes and topics.
YM is a catalyst to help inspire a new wave of change and progress by representing the contemporary social and cultural attitudes of young people without bias or filters.
As part of Signal Summer in partnership with ACMI, YM will premiere their second documentary film series and photo exhibit. The films are an exploration of youth in the modern day, each episode focusing on an empowering individual who speaks about personal experiences and how they navigate their own identities in today’s society, through raw and honest conversation
