    The 2016 Competition

    Entries are now open and again this year we’re accepting your entries online via YouTube and Dropbox. You have until 5pm (AEST) 19 September to enter your fabulous films and great games.

    If you have created an animation or live action film you’ll need to submit your entry via YouTube. If you are entering a videogame, please submit it via Dropbox. For schools submitting 5 or more productions (you must be entering 5 or more), there is an option to post your works to Screen It on a USB drive.

    What is Screen It?

    Fancy yourself a filmmaker? Think you can match Shaun Tan in the animation stakes? Want to show off your skills as a videogame developer? Then get ready to enter this year's Screen It competition for your chance to create something amazing and win some awesome prizes!

    Every year, hundreds of students across the nation enter Screen It – ACMI’s epic moving image competition for Primary and Secondary school students. Screen It is designed to educate, encourage and foster the next generation of young moving image makers. It’s fun and, best of all, it’s free!

    Entry Categories

    This year entry categories have changed. We have now divided the judging across three age groupings, instead of Primary and Secondary, to make it fairer. You need to be enrolled as a student in one of the years below in 2016 to be eligible.

    Foundation to Year 4

    Year 5 to Year 8

    Year 9 to Year 12

    An overall best school entry is awarded in addition to awards for each primary and secondary category.
