COVID-19 update

Following the latest advice from the Victorian Government, ACMI is temporarily closed. Unfortunately, the remaining 2021 Cinemaniacs sessions have been cancelled.

Customers with tickets for these dates will be automatically refunded via the card they made the purchase with. If your card has expired, please email to make alternative arrangements. Refunds may take 5-10 days to appear in your account.

We wish our extended ACMI community well during this challenging time. Look after yourself, and each other.

Join a volunteer-run community of cinephiles for monthly screenings of retrospective films and talks across all genres.

Founded in 2012, Cinemaniacs was created to make cinema a truly unique experience. Collaborating with acclaimed directors, writers, actors, producers, academics and composers, Cinemaniacs allows audiences to see their most beloved films on the big screen again, or for the first time.

Each screening is presented by Melbourne’s finest film historians, and includes panels, presentations and video introductions by cast and crew from the films being screened.

If you want a truly unique experience alongside friendly, welcoming folks, then join Cinemaniacs, a film collective of movie-lovers.

Follow Cinemaniacs on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Vimeo.
