Somewhere in the galaxy, a spaceship, ‘Le cosmos’, is being chased by a mysterious machine. The spaceship finally surrenders to the enemy. Only a strange robot, Pluk, has escaped. Lost in space, Pluk heads for the closest planet in sight: planet Earth. Shortly after landing, Pluk meets Niki, a young boy with a passion for science-fiction, Babette, his friend, and Jupiter, her dog genius. Pluk decides to assist Niki with the construction of his own space vessel, Arago X-001.
