In 1965, Henri, a young orphan, is sent to holiday camp, very much against his wish to stay in town with his elder sister. His relationship with his camp mates proves disastrous as the rumours goes around that he is an orphan. In order to boost his popularity, Henri pretends that he is the son of famous Tour de France hero, Raymond Poulidor, and that he can obtain autographs for everybody.
