Following an apparence on a TV show, economist Gerard Plantier is murdered in the underground garage of his appartment building. The only witnesses are his girlfriend, Francoise, and the night watchman. As the investigation progresses, it is revealed that Francoise had a rather shady past and that some of her former acquaintances may have something to do with Gerard’s death. To Judge Massot’s surprise, Francoise is doing her best to attract all the blame for the murder to herself.
