In this film montage Robert Enrico describes the enduring fascination of men for the mountains as well as the many relationship humanity has entertained with rock formations: from rock painting to health spa; from heretic stronghold (Montsegur) to Catholic pilgrimage (Lourdes) as well as the many research and scientific usages (observatories, solar stations).
