A free-spirited young woman falls passionately in love with her lover's wife.
Anaïs (played exuberantly by Anaïs Demoustier) is thirty and broke. She has a lover, but she’s not sure if she loves him anymore. Then she meets Daniel, an older writer who she immediately falls for. That is until she meets Daniel’s beguiling wife Emilie (Valeria Bruni Tedeschi) and Anaïs finds herself once again falling head over heels. This time the passion cuts deeper, the stakes are higher, and the feeling felt between the two women are more intense.

Charline Bourgeois-Tacquet's breezy debut premiered in the 2021 Cannes Critics Week strand. Elevated by the palpable chemistry between the two female leads, Anaïs in Love is a joyful, warm and engaging story about a restless young woman passionately pursuing life, love and liberty.
