Renowned for her powerful live performances, Nina Buchanan’s elemental, intuitive approach to synthesizer music wades through lush melodies, thumping rhythms and atmospheric soundscapes. Emerging out of the Eora/Sydney and Naarm/Melbourne underground and experimental music scenes, her work creates rich emotional landscapes, oscillating between the ecstatic and the melancholic. Nina’s music evokes genre affiliations as broad as contemporary club, IDM, emo-ambient, noise, and minimalism, but is always expanding into new territories with a staunchly DIY ethos.
