ACMI and RISING present

Penrith Miers Archive

When

Fri 19 Jun 2026

Hosted in the Listening Room of the Reverb exhibition, these after-hours sessions will feature a different artist each session. Curated by Yasmine Sharaf from RISING and Robin Fox from MESS.

Yuin archivist Madika Penrith and Batemans Bay ethnomusicologist Sam Miers have spent the last few years building compilations of half Indigenous and half newcomer sound through time, from NSW. It’s about enabling people to understand their relationship with their community/Country and to find belonging. In the Listening Room, Penrith Miers Archive will play sections from their Yuin and Wiradyuri Country compilations and discuss their process of putting them together.
