LGBTQIA+ Young Filmmakers
In 2025, for the third year, ACMI will bring together young LGBTQIA+ identifying students for a three-day filmmaking workshop.
Participants aged 15-18, are encouraged to explore their own unique voice through idea generation, storytelling and filmmaking techniques and teamwork.
ACMI creates an inclusive environment with additional wellbeing support, which helps with social cohesion and further bolsters student safety and responsiveness to learning needs. The workshop has been extremely successful and we received $5000 grant funding from the Victorian Government through the Healthy Equal Youth program to support the program in 2025.
