This magical exhibition celebrates 40 years of one of the world’s most successful animation studios. Best known for their extraordinary claymation productions, Aardman Animations is the creative force behind beloved films and television series as Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep and Chicken Run.
From themed cocktail parties and film screenings, to client dinners and social events, we can help you create an outstanding bespoke exhibition experience.
Our cinemas are perfect for film screenings, product launches, lectures, award ceremonies, presentations and conferences. Cinema 1 can seat up to 168 people, while Cinema 2 can seat up to 390.
This purpose-designed, light-filled function space features floor-to-ceiling windows and is ideal for meetings, workshops, lunches, cocktail events and dinners. The Cube can accommodate up to 130 standing, 120 theatre style and 100 banquet style.
Part of our new creative industries co-working space and designed by award-winning architects Six Degrees, acmi X Social Space is a versatile function room with in-house audio visual, as well as natural light that can accommodate groups of up to 120 standing and 40 seated.
With a large stage area and comfortable tiered seating, Studio 1 is suitable for presentations, workshops, seminars and launches. The studio’s green-screen and live camera feed capabilities are available to add extra impact to your event. Studio 1 can seat 70 people or hold 90 for a stand-up party.
With its high glass ceilings and large open space, the Lightwell is the gateway to our galleries. Boasting an abundance of natural light, this contemporary space is ideal for large receptions, launches and red-carpet premieres.
Our permanent exhibition chronicles the history of the moving image and also doubles as an interactive events space. Add a backdrop of moving image, Hollywood glamour and fun entertainment to your cocktail party.
In the past, Gallery One has been the home of celebrated exhibitions like Pixar: 20 Years of Animation, Tim Burton: The Exhibition, Hollywood Costume and David Bowie is. Next it could be home to your private after-hours event with personal access to our popular exhibitions. Add introductory talks, guided tours and catering for a memorable experience.
The ACMI Boardroom provides a professional setting for meetings, workshops, teleconferences, team-building activities and training programs. Furnished with a wooden table that seats 20 as well as a projector, screen and whiteboard, the boardroom offers a practical space for the exchanging of ideas and solutions.
ACMI Green Room
Hidden away from the public eye, our Green Room is the best place to entertain guests prior to your big event. Fully equipped with two computers, printing facilities, internet access, couches, tables and chairs, it provides a comfortable space to prepare for any event.
