We will slam you with our wings
In 2022, ACMI and Fed Square collaborated with Joanna Dudley, international artist, performer and creator of 'We Will Slam You With Our Wings', to host a unique workshop series for girls in Melbourne.
Joanna Dudley's extraordinary multi-channel video work We Will Slam You With Our Wings opened in Fed Square Atrium marking International Day of the Girl (11 October). To accompany the opening, ACMI educators Kate Ficai and Nicole Harvey co-facilitated three workshops with Joanna, preparing a group of girls to take over the atrium, expressing their chosen stories in a unique and commanding one-off performance.
Joanna’s work was presented by Fed Square, supported by ACMI and in arrangement with Arts Projects Australia, and generously supported by the Naomi Milgrom Foundation.
