Careers and Frontiers is a one-day symposium designed for secondary and tertiary students, educators, career advisors, parents and gamers to explore the future of work in the games industry. Set against the backdrop of ACMI’s Game Worlds exhibition, the program brings together local and international industry leaders to discuss diverse career pathways and the evolving intersections of creativity, technology and passion.
Participants will explore the exciting world of game design and culture, with hands-on access to award-winning games and direct interaction with developers across artistic, technical, and innovation-driven disciplines. From design and storytelling to development and systems thinking, the event highlights the breadth of roles available in and around games—and how these roles are shaping the future of interactive entertainment.
The Education Symposium will spotlight trends in creative technology, play and interaction—framing games as not only entertainment but also powerful tools for learning, social good and personal growth. With a focus on lowering barriers for entry and building awareness across education and industry, Careers and Frontiers celebrates games as a dynamic and fulfilling career path.
