In the heart of Melbourne International Games Week, Careers + Frontiers is a one-day symposium designed for secondary and tertiary students, educators, career advisors, parents and gamers to explore the future of work in the games industry.
The program brings together local and international industry leaders to discuss diverse career pathways and the evolving intersections of creativity, technology and passion.
Participants will explore the exciting world of game design and culture, with hands-on access to award-winning games and direct interaction with developers across artistic, technical and innovation-driven disciplines.
With a focus on well-being and building awareness across education and industry, Careers + Frontiers celebrates games as a dynamic and fulfilling career path.

The day will be hosted by Angharad “Rad” Yeo: TV and radio presenter, host of Good Game Spawn Point.
Meet Melbourne company Ludios, a Tripledot Studio, who are creating breakout success games for global audiences. Guided by player behaviour, feedback and lots of data, the team continuously iterates to deepen engagement and keep players coming back every day. Find out more about hyper-casual mobile games, breakout successes such as Woodoku Blast, which has reached over 22 million people worldwide, and what game studios like Ludios look for when recruiting.
It may be surprising to learn that game development involves much more than visual creativity. There is a broad range of career opportunities across areas such as product management, data science, research and marketing, to name a few. .

Meet and Greet – Industry and Tertiary Institutions
During the breakout session, participants will have a choice of program options. Participants in the Meet and Greet and have the chance to have a quick face to face talk with representatives from Industry and Tertiary Institutions. These sessions will have limited capacity and will operate on a first come first serve basis. No prebooking required.
AGDAS and Games 4 Change Showcases
Participants will be invited to the AGDAS ACMI Audience Award 2026 playable showcase. They will also hear from the developers behind the 2026 Games 4 Change Australia showcase, highlighting videogames as powerful tools for social good, serious applications and personal growth beyond the entertainment Industry.

Invoice payment is only available for school groups and close two weeks prior to the conference on Thursday 24th September at 5pm.
Teachers are free with school groups of more than 20. This is an uncatered comp ticket and the discount will be applied when you receive your invoice.
Ticket sales by Credit Card remain open until registration closes on the day.
If you're purchasing Single Tickets by Credit Card you don't need to fill out the booking form.
If you have opted to pay by Credit Card you will receive a Tax Invoice shortly after your confirmation email.
