Set in a Paris railway station in the 1930s, Martin Scorsese's renowned film tells the story of a young orphan Hugo Cabret and a mysterious stallholder with a surprising secret. Adapted from Brian Selznick's celebrated novel, Hugo is an homage to film history, technology and storytelling. The film screening is introduced by a short talk that provides context and explores film language and narrative techniques.

Session includes a 20-minute introduction followed by the film.
