Light and shadow

Inspired by the art and history of shadow puppetry, students create moving silhouette artworks that explore the interplay between light and shadow.
Students will:
- explore the history of shadow puppets
- watch contemporary Indigenous Australian shadow-artist works
- understand how light, shadow and shape can be used to create visually stunning artworks through their own creations
Important information
This workshop is designed to accommodate two classes of up to 28 students (up to 56 in total). It includes a 90-minute workshop for each class plus a visit to our The Story of the Moving Image exhibition.
