Plan, film and edit a fictional film - all in one day!
The Melbourne Women in Film Festival and ACMI Education present this intensive filmmaking workshop, which introduces production elements such as storyboarding, cinematography and editing by giving students the opportunity to explore creative filmmaking roles. Working collaboratively to interpret a screenplay, students will explore concepts of genre, gender representation and finding voice within storytelling.
Participants will:
- Understand the different phases of film production and the creative roles involved
- Consider tropes, codes and conventions of different genres
- Produce a storyboard and shot list from a script
- Film and edit their films with support from industry mentors
- Learn about the local screen industry
Who is the workshop for?
This program is open to female identifying and gender diverse young people, aged 15-18.
This is a full-day program for up to 28 participants.
